This year I am bringing a new experience to children located in the Upper Peninsula. This experience is called the Santa Experience and will take place at my photography studio in Iron Moutain.
What is the Santa Experience?
The Santa Experience is a one of a kind experience to give children the magically feeling of Christmas with a combination of professional photos with Santa and an experience tailored to them. Imagine the excitement your children will have when they receive a sparkly red letter in the mail and it’s from.. Santa!?
Each letter is special to the child with little bits of info about them and their lives so that they know Santa has been watching how well they have been behaving. The letter serves as a way to let Santa know how proud he is of your child and inviting them to come see him on a particular day to receive a nice list certificate from him and to bring their wish list to go over with Santa. Santa also wants to take pictures with the children because he is so excited to see them.
The photo session is a 10 minute time block with Santa where your child can spend time with him, receive their Nice List Certificate on genuine certificate paper, take photos and go over with Santa what they will like for Christmas. At the end of the session your children will receive a goodie bag. The Velveteen Cake Co, a high end bakery in Iron Mountain will be having a pop up shop with her specialty cookies. You do NOT want to miss out on that. After your session you will receive a professionally printed 5×7 print either in the mail or you are able to pick up at the studio, located in downtown Iron Mountain in the Franklin Square building.
What is included in the experience?
- Personalized letter sent to each child included in the session
- 5×7 Print and 5 full resolution digitals
- Nice list certificate on genuine certificate paper
- Wish list paper to bring back for your session
- Goodie bags for each child in session
The Velveteen Cake Co pop up is offering her cookie sale separate, I highly recommend buying her goodies, you absolutely cannot beat them.
What should my child wear for photos with Santa?
I recommend your child dressing up in a nice sweater or dress, but if you want to do pajamas that will be great too! I highly recommend the holiday section from Carter’s website. I would avoid solid red so your child’s outfit does not blend in too closely into Santa’s suit.

What if I missed sign up this year?
That’s okay! I have intentions on doing the Santa Experience every year. Every September sign up will open to families until late October. Late October is the cut off so Santa has time to write his letters to all of the children.
